NEWS

We are delighted to let you know that we have just opened our third restaurant.

Opera Tavern is a beautiful two storey bar and restaurant in Covent Garden. We'll be serving a menu of tapas alongside charcuterie, cheese and specials from our charcoal grill.

Bookings can be made via our website at www.operatavern.co.uk

Dehesa is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a Bib Gourmand by Michelin for 2010. We are glad to have retained this award following the 2009 awards.

Dehesa is pleased to have joined the Sustainable Restaurant Association - a not for profit organisation providing support to help restaurants become more sustainable and communtiy orientated. As part of our membership, we have pledged to source our fish from sustainable sources, become more energy efficient and support a local charity.

We have switched fish suppliers to two companies dedicated to sourcing us sustainable fish and as many as possible from British waters. In the autumn we hope to start sourcing daily specials direct from Cornish dayboats.

We have carried out an energy audit and are now working to reduce our energy usuage over the next six months.

We are fundraising  for local charity Switchback, a London-based charity that is dedicated to helping young adult offenders to stick to their commitment to live life differently. Switchback supports 18-24 year olds to build on catering skills learned in prison kitchens so that real, lasting change is possible after release. For further information please visit the Switchback website at www.switchback.co.uk. An optional £1 is added to customers’ bills and we hope to raise over £12,000 this year.
